Asteroid Game Design

Playing the Game:

  • Use the arrow keys to control the spaceship.

  • Avoid asteroids and navigate through portals to score points.

Menu and Settings:

  • From the main menu, select "Play" to start or adjust settings to customize game difficulty and volume.

  • Collaborated with 1 engineer and 1 designer to build a non-profit accessible “Asteroids” game for K–5 low-vision students using JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML, reaching 500+ users

  • Led user research to refine visual UX by iterating on color scheme and simplifying spawn logic, conducting A/B testing and increasing users by 25% and retention by 70%
